Vladimir Mikhaylovich Komarov was a Soviet test pilot, aerospace engineer and cosmonaut in the first group of cosmonauts selected in 1960. He was one of the most highly experienced and well-qualified candidates accepted into “Air Force Group One”
I ripped the radio transmission footage from a video – this is the genuine last words of one of history’s pioneers. Komarov knew the capsule he was going up in was faulty – corners had been cut.
However, if he was to step aside Gagarin would replace him.
In the transmission, Komarov shouts with rage as his capsule plummets through the Earths atmosphere towards his death.
This album is for him and all those who strive yet fail. Scheduled for the start of Winter, 2013.
