A Review Of The Band Fold // Bedfest 2013

Last night saw me at Bedfest in Knaresborough. It was (and hopefully will be again) a music event held at Henshaws Arts & Crafts Centre in Knaresborough - a thoroughly decent charitable cause.

The final act of the nights was a group called FOLD - they were mind blowingly good!

Think of Kruder & Dorfmeister’s smokey beats with the political commentary of Scroobius Pip and you will get an inkling of what they bought to the stage. The set up was; Drums, Bass, Guitar & laptop with all sorts of MIDI devices connected into it. I figure they would be running Ableton - they weren’t. I had enough Dutch Courage to sneak a peak at his computer screen and I was not let down by the basic set up.

Incredible sound! It was mind blowing and I recommend any readers in Barnsley to go and see them when they perform their next gig on June 22nd.

Really good music in a really good setting for a really great cause.

Up next Pottering around Town On A Sunny Day Happy Birthday Grannie - Many happy returns!
